Join the Helpful Engines User Advisory Group

The inspiration for our business came from persons living with dementia, care partners, and other professionals who support them. The User Advisory Group is a new forum to help us continue to improve our applications with direct input from families and health professionals.

Who it's for

We are welcoming individuals who are:

living with mild to moderate cognitive impairment due to dementia, stroke, brain injury, intellectual and developmental disability (supported persons);
caring for someone with cognitive impairment, including spouses, family members, friends, and support workers (care partners); and / or
working in occupational therapy or other allied health and medical professions and support persons living with cognitive impairment (health professionals);

and are interested in cognitive rehabilitation and reablement strategies, and in sharing their thoughts about our applications.

We are particularly interested in hearing from care partners of people who have recently received a dementia diagnosis, or care partners of people who are recovering from stroke and are dealing with memory challenges as a result.

Benefits for group members

User Advisory Group members will gain early access to our applications and to new features. Members will also have free access to our applications for an initial trial period.

We will be sharing relevant research findings, information and resources on cognitive rehabilitation with members. We'll also share opportunities to participate in new research that may be relevant.

How to participate

To get started, please fill out our 'Get in touch' customer enquiry form , and make sure to click the box that says, "Yes, I'd like to join the Helpful Engines User Advisory Group."

We will be in contact to understand your current situation and availability. If you're interested, we will also set you up with a trial access to our applications.

User Advisory Group members will be asked to provide feedback at every 1-2 months. Feedback can be provided by phone, online, or in person.

You will be free to leave the group at any time, simply by contacting us and asking to be removed from the User Advisory Group.

Respecting your time and privacy

We know that our members lead busy lives, we will check with you about your availability for any of our activities. Our activities will include testing the application and providing input through brief surveys that would take a short time to complete.

Your participation in the group and any feedback you provide will be confidential, and would only be shared with your permission.
